Growing up, my mom had the most idyllic Thanksgiving table. A perfectly browned turkey on top of bright green bunches of parsley and sugar frosted grapes. Candles stretched across the entire table centered around a large cornucopia that was full of fresh gourds and pumpkins. Everything was topped off with her 1970s china. Its an image that I’m sure all of my siblings can recreate without having to give it too much thought.
Did my dad light his sweater on fire one year on the abundance of candles once? – yes. But as the old adage goes, beauty doesn’t come without sacrifice.
As the official kick-off of the holiday season, I love a full vibrant Thanksgiving table myself. Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorite Thanksgiving table staples.
This garland is so full and gorgeous in person. I saw it 2 years ago and have stalked it ever since. And lastly, I see your homemade gravy and raise you this gravy base! It is so good. So full of flavor with no greasy taste.
Happy early Thanksgiving. I hope your holiday season is gearing up nicely.
